Olympic gold medallist Daniel Wiffen says he is looking at his training base move from University of California, Berkley to Dublin with Swim Ireland as a "permanent one".

The 24-year-old moved to the USA, where his twin Nathan also trained, last year after five years at Loughborough University.

He said in the lead up to the Irish Open earlier this month that he would consider moving to Dublin if if he did not put in strong performances in Bangor.

Wiffen won three golds in the 800m freestyle, the 400m and 1500m in Northern Ireland but still decided to follow through with the switch after what he described as a "pretty awful" time in the 800m.

"I'm looking at it as a permanent move. I thought California was a permanent move, but that didn't work out," he said.

Alfie Whiteman scans the self-portraits on display at a Grade II listed art gallery inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the ones he took of himself hanging out of a tumble dryer, celebrating a birthday alone in the woods and sitting naked on a jetty staring out over Sweden's Lake Mockeln.

"There was no intention of anyone ever seeing these pictures," he laughs. "But that also just reflects how I was living before - I kind of split my life in two."

Whiteman was on the bench when Spurs won the Europa League in Bilbao. Less than a year since that success he is showing BBC Sport his new exhibition having retired at just 26 a few months later.

An open-top bus parade through the north London streets where he grew up was the culmination of more than 15 years with the boyhood club he joined aged 10, having watched them lift the 2008 League Cup at Wembley with his dad.

"I was waving at my friend and sister like 'I'll be home in a sec just doing a loop round the block!'," he says about the Europa League celebrations. "There was a youth centre I used to help out in and one of the kids was like 'Hey! What are you doing there!'"

Leonard's injury and subsequent trade led to a rapid descent in the Spurs' fortunes. That futility allowed San Antonio to draft Wembanyama, and the 7-foot-4 center from France was stellar in closing out the series.

Portland cut its deficit to 91-82 with eight minutes remaining following an 11-0 run. But San Antonio stuffed the rally, including Wembanyama sending Deni Avdija 's floater off the top of the backboard and into the crowd in the final minutes.

With the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series tied at 2-2, New York's Jalen Brunson delivered a signature game at the right time, helping the Knicks to post a comfortable 126-97 victory over the Atlanta Hawks at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.

NEW YORK -- Jalen Brunson hadn't yet delivered a signature game in the New York Knicks ' first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks . The swing Game 5 seemed like the perfect time to remedy that.

Brunson's 39 points was, by far, his best showing of the series, and it coincided with the Knicks' all-around domination of the Hawks Tuesday in a 126-97 win at Madison Square Garden. New York took a 3-2 lead with a chance to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Thursday.

It was the second straight complete performance by the Knicks after two one-point losses, and perhaps Brunson had the Hawks' Game 2 visit in mind when stunned with Knicks with a fourth-quarter rally to steal homecourt advantage.

Brunson closed out the evening with 17 in the fourth to help the Knicks win comfortably.

"The ball went in, but just happy to we were able to keep the lead," Brunson said. "They're a team that's capable of going on runs, as you know, from early in the series. But I liked the way we played in the fourth and kept the lead."

After trailing this Western Conference quarterfinal series, 2-1, the Minnesota Wild have now won consecutive games, the last being a 4-2 victory over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night, and are now one win away from advancing for the first time since 2015.

DALLAS -- The Minnesota Wild are now one win away from advancing to the second round for the first time in more than a decade.

And they're in that position after suffocating one of the NHL's best attacks in a 4-2 win Tuesday against the Dallas Stars in Game 5 of the Western Conference quarterfinals.

The series resumes Thursday in St. Paul, Minnesota, where the Wild will have the first of two attempts to capture a playoff series since they last did it in 2015 when they beat the St. Louis Blues in six games before losing in the second round to the Chicago Blackhawks .

"I think it's the guys we have in here now," said Wild forward Marcus Foligno , who has been with the franchise since 2017. "I think it's a little bit different. Opening the series with a 6-1 win was immense for a few reasons. It gave the Wild the upper hand and their first Game 1 playoff series since 2023. Furthermore, it also showed that the Wild could generate and capitalize on scoring chances, a sign of growth from a team that had previously struggled to do both in previous playoff trips.

The way they stuck with the Stars, who have reached three straight Western Conference finals, in consecutive overtime contests in Games 3 and 4 also reinforced how comfortable they performed in tight situations.

The passports are part of broader plans to celebrate the milestone anniversary of the US Declaration of Independence.

United States President Donald Trump will feature on a new, limited-edition US passport being issued to mark the country’s 250th anniversary in July, officials said, the latest area of public life to receive Trump’s personal branding.

Images released by the White House and the Department of State on Tuesday show Trump’s portrait incorporated into the design, set against elements of the Declaration of Independence and the US flag. The rendering also includes the president’s signature in gold.

Another page will feature an illustration of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.

“As the United States marks its 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is preparing to release a limited number of specially designed US passports to commemorate this historic occasion,” said Tommy Piggott, a spokesperson for the US State Department.

“Our focus is in the physical world, anything around producing physical goods,” he added, saying that Kompas focuses on startups working on decarbonization, productivity, and risk management. “We’ve found our niche.”

King Charles III and Queen Camilla continued their state visit in Washington DC on Tuesday, by meeting members of President Trump's cabinet, before the King gave a speech to both houses of US Congress to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.

It is the first such visit by the reigning monarch to the US since Queen Elizabeth II met President George W Bush in 2007.

The King and Queen will journey to New York City tomorrow, to participate in a memorial service for victims of the 11 September 2001 attacks.

PARIS, FRANCE -- Twenty-four hours earlier, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique had raised his hand up high to indicate just what dizzying levels his team -- who won the Treble last season, lest we forget -- had reached, adding that PSG were "the best in the world."

Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany made no such pronouncements, but maybe he felt he didn't need to. His team are on course for a Treble of their own and had lost just twice all season long.

The Rockets, again facing elimination, officially ruled out star forward Kevin Durant for Wednesday night's Game 5 against the Lakers because of a left ankle sprain.

Durant didn't participate in practice with the Rockets on Tuesday before they left for Los Angeles, trailing 3-1 in the Western Conference first-round series. But he was seen running on an antigravity treadmill as the team wrapped up its work before heading to the airport.

Durant has sat out three games in this series after he didn't play in the opener because of a bruised right knee. He returned for Game 2, scoring 23 points in 41 minutes of the 101-94 loss, during which he injured his ankle late.

The Rockets won Game 4 115-96 to avoid elimination, despite missing their superstar.

Durant's injury problems this postseason came after the 37-year-old ranked second in the league in the regular season by playing 2,840 minutes.

Among the most interesting parts of Elon Musk’s testimony Tuesday in his lawsuit against OpenAI wasn’t the charity he claims was stolen from him (we all knew that was coming ). It was about an old friend.

Musk testified that one of his core motivations for co-founding OpenAI was a falling out with Google’s Larry Page over AI safety — specifically, a conversation in which Musk raised the prospect of AI wiping out humanity and Page shrugged it off as “fine,” so long as AI itself survived. Page called Musk a “speciest” for being “pro human.” Musk called the attitude “insane.”

That’s mostly notable given how close the two once were. Fortune included them on its 2016 list of secretly best-friend business leaders; Musk was so comfortable with Page that he regularly crashed at his Palo Alto home. Page once told Charlie Rose that he’d rather give his money to Musk than to charity.

Singing superstar Billie Eilish and filmmaking giant James Cameron have teamed up to make a new 3D concert movie, documenting her shows in Manchester last year.

Cameron, of Titanic and Avatar fame, filmed Eilish over four nights at the Co-op Live venue during her Hit Me Hard And Soft world tour - the biggest of her career so far.

The outcome is both a thrilling sensory overload and unique love letter to her intense and adoring fans, who are often in tears.

Speaking to the BBC at the film's London premiere, Eilish said her fans in Manchester were "one of my favourite audiences ever... I fricking love Manchester".

Many of those fans travelled to the capital for Tuesday's blue-carpet premiere, hanging out of windows and lining balconies in Leicester Square for a glimpse of her.

"They didn't do that for me!" Cameron laughed when the fans erupted into deafening screams as she arrived.
