Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Kyle Pavao, who once worked in the cybercrime unit, is the first prosecution witness on the stand. His testimony began around 9:45 a.m. He examined the Microsoft Surface Pro taken from Clancy's home in early 2023.
He was asked, "Did your initial review of the extraction show a visit to a website entitled 'suicide methods' on Aug. 23, 2022?" "It did," Pavao replied.
Judge William Sullivan said the jury may break early Thursday and there will be no testimony on Friday, so the jury will get the day off. Sixty-nine witnesses have testified so far as the prosecution gets closer to the end of its list.
