Trump threatens to bomb bridges or power plants if Iran keeps attacking ships in Strait of Hormuz
President Trump said Wednesday that the U.S. would "bomb or destroy" one bridge or power plant in Iran for every new Iranian attack on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
"From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran," Mr. Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
Iran has continued to attack vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, even as the U.S. military insists the crucial waterway is open. U.S. Central Command said Tuesday that Iran had attacked more than 30 commercial ships transiting the strait over the past three months.
