Human Remains Found in Tampa Bay in Search for Missing USF Student
The remains have not yet been identified, but a former University of South Florida student has been charged in connection with the murders of Nahida Bristy and Zamil Limon.
Investigators in Florida have found human remains in a Tampa Bay waterway where they have been looking for a woman who was one of two doctoral students at the University of South Florida reported missing this month.
A former student at the school has been charged in the murders of the two students.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said on Sunday that its teams, along with those from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, recovered the remains from the waterway near Interstate 275 and Fourth Street North, in an area where the authorities said last week they were searching for the woman, Nahida Bristy, 27.
The remains are being identified by the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Hillsborough sheriff’s office said.
Ms. Bristy and the other doctoral student, Zamil Limon, 27, were last seen on April 16.
