Staff members at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan, quickly moved to protect more than 100 children and others inside the synagogue when a truck rammed through the building and a gunman opened fire. Security personnel engaged the attacker, who was later killed, while teachers and staff helped evacuate children and congregants without any reported injuries to students or synagogue staff.
